Privacy and local processing

Opening the site requests static resources from its host, which may process ordinary connection information under its hosting policies. Advertising and analytics are off by default. If enabled later on eligible pages, this notice must describe those providers and consent choices. The EML viewer never loads advertising, a consent platform or third-party analytics. Mailto URLs include all entered addresses, including Bcc. Downloads remain on your device until you remove them.

The email directory filters run locally; selected filters and comparison IDs appear after # in shareable URLs. When configured in production and only after you allow it, PostHog receives directory usage events such as selected features and official-site clicks, with language, service IDs and counts. Email contents, free-form input, full page URLs and session recordings are excluded. Your analytics choice is saved in localStorage and can be withdrawn using Analytics preferences. PostHog uses an in-memory identifier rather than a persistent visitor profile. EML pages do not load it. Our hosting provider and, when enabled, the analytics provider still process network connection information under their own policies. No analytics project is currently configured in this repository.

The interface language you explicitly select is saved in browser local storage (emailsea.locale). The root homepage stays in English and does not automatically redirect based on this value. You can change it using the language menu or remove it by clearing site data. Tool inputs and email contents are never stored.
